THIS WEB GALLERY SHOWS ALL SUBMITTED ARTWORK.  ARTWORK SELECTED BY OUR JURORS FOR EXHIBITION AND PUBLISHING ARE NOTED.

Artist statement: Dressed as a peasant, this young boy’s job was to play the fiddle for the townspeople in a recreated 16th century English village during a Renaissance Faire. I found him so intent on practicing his music that the world seemed to consist of only him and his violin. Only a young master of the arts in music and theatre could play so well.

Artist statement: There is a beautiful and unbreakable bond between mother and child. A mother teaches her child about the ways of the world in so many subtle ways. Here, she uses her leg to point her daughter’s attention to something in the water. Who knows what they are seeing, but they are both sharing a teachable and tender moment in their growing lives together.

Artist statement: Pocket Watch is a portrait of my son, Ethan. I wanted to capture him at a point in his life when he’s emerging as a young professional. He’s an avid watch collector, so I felt it was very important to include his pocket watch. It also symbolizes time quickly passing.
