Artist statement: Beauty is fleeting and my desire to capture the beauty of life (be it human, flora or fauna) is irresistable. As an introvert, I connect more with people's body language and less with their words. Through paintings I attempt to immortalize the beauty of my subjects in their entirety; not just their face but also their character. Floral still life are a delight to paint because I am able to project emotions onto unsuspecting flowers through the play of light and strategically placed brushstrokes.

Artist statement: As an illustrator, I draw and paint with a style which has proved marketable but which has become less and less exciting for me as an artist. This year, I studied Josef Albers color theory and it has profoundly changed the way I see and the way I work. After a life of drawing and painting, I feel I am now actually making art.

Artist statement: I am in love with nature. I attempt to represent the mysterious beauty of nature, its myriad moods, shades and elemental force by creating pleasing forms to satisfy the sense of beauty and co relating with human beings because both men and women have same energy to explore their inner self. In exploring my inner self, a quest for love, peace and aesthetic delight is manifested. I am against the wars which only damage and destroy human sensitivity toward what beauty of life offers us.

Artist statement: A rare Sunrise Solar Eclipse or syzygy taken on June 10, 2021 in Grafton, MA. This one hour phenomena only occurs every 60 to 150 years in any given location. Initially clouds covered the event. However, as they gradually parted, I focused on the trees in the foreground and zoomed in to capture the earth, moon and sun in the frame and thus avoided having to wait another 60 to 150 years.

Artist statement: This wall of lobster buoys struck me as looking good enough to eat, like a giant display of lollipops. The buoys and their shadows created a lively abstract design that delights the eye. I wanted to capture those qualities by stressing the gay colors and willy-nilly pattern of shapes.
