Artist statement: This was taken on a winter afternoon approaching the Golden Hour at Hager Pond in Marlboro. Two mute swans were swimming near each other and splashing some of the water around where the ice had melted on the pond. The lighting was beautiful and the golden and blue colors blended well. Specific medium: Photograph
Murphy
Elizabeth Krouse
Artist statement: This photo of Murphy was one of my first I took with a new 35mm prime lens. I liked the effect of the lighting from the window he was looking out from. I converted it to black and white to enhance the details and in more editing experimentation I liked the use of the negative space and how it gave the image a bit of a Rembrandt type lighting effect. Specific medium: Photograph
In a Galaxie Far Far Away
Elizabeth Krouse
Artist statement: I recently attended a couple of car shows locally and was fascinated by the details in all the classic cars that were there. This old Galaxie caught my eye with all the dashboard details it had. I converted the photo to black and white to enhance the fine details and it gave me the yesteryear feel of when this car would have been brand new. Specific medium: Photograph

Twisted
Richard Lapping
$375.00
Artist statement: Though primarily a landscape photographer, there are no limitations to what I find compelling. In recent years I've gravitated more towards black and white interpretive and abstract imagery. I often shoot with an infrared converted camera and convert those images to b&w. I'm attracted to the expanded tonal range that infrared affords, to the subtle details that it reveals, and to the abstract nature of this invisible light. Specific medium: Infrared digital photograph

Deauville
Amy Kyungah Lee
$450.00
Artist statement: The images of my painting come from a journey of ordinary objects and scenes. My charge is to take what I see as simply as it presents itself, with no artificiality.
I express as the language of “life.” Every object is unique in its own form and color, but if there is no “life the uniqueness is also absent.
I’m looking to see what I can draw from each object, by creating a natural flow, continuity, such as a dream; so it is spontaneously moving around in natural melody. Specific medium: Oil
