Darkness into Light
Joyce V. Caras
$575.00
Artist statement: During the winter months of 2021 there seemed to be a darkness in the atmosphere that I felt compelled to overcome. I paint from nature, and found that the colors of the plant convey this sentiment. While painting I discovered that the deeper shades of red -and of dark opaque differences- encouraged me to express lighter shade elements at once. The elongated shape allows for such expansion within the watercolor process.
Specific medium: Watercolor over graphite. 140 lb. paper
Potted Tulips
Sue Cardosi
$150.00
Artist statement: At one of our monthly meetings of the Worcester County Camera Club a member gave an in-depth lesson on still-life photography. Her lesson sparked my interest, so I gathered some household items and my camera as I was eager to start. Watering cans and potted red tulips with a dark/light background made for wonderful subjects. My light source of a bright room accentuated both watering cans which seem to have brought the bright red tulips to life. What joy!

Gray's Boardwalk #1
Sue Cardosi
$150.00
Artist statement: A picture perfect and popular photo spot on Cape Cod is at Gray's Beach. The expansive 1/4 mile boardwalk is a photographers dream from any angle. Include the majestic sunset and I can see why this is a popular spot. This photo was taken in early June's "golden hour". One photo was taken with my Fuji camera and the other with my Android cell phone. Its difficult to tell which is which.

Blizzard at the Barn
Bethani Chadbourne
$245.00
Selected for Exhibition
Artist statement: This photo was taken of my appaloosa horse Bandit on a blustery, snowy night in Grafton Massachusetts. Seeing it was snowing hard I packed up my gear, drove to the barn, turned out my horse and turned on my high beams of my car. The extreme wind and large snow flakes made it an exciting challenge. Captured by Bethani Chadbourne, Owner of Pictorial Tales Photography.

Carefully, digitally hand painted around every whisker and hair to preserve all of their stunning details. Thank you, Kaleigh for allowing me to capture your beautiful horses.

Alkimus in Autumn
Bethani Chadbourne
$325.00
Artist statement: Alkimus of Braveheart Beasts rearing in northern Massachusetts forest last fall. I captured this photo laying on my stomach, with Alkimus' brother, Elgin calmly standing beside me. Kaleigh, the trainer of Braveheart Beasts specializes in liberty and trick training and asked Alkimus to rear on command. A beautiful movement for such a strong, majestic horse. Photo taken with Nikon D750 and 70-200mm 2.8. Thank you Kaleigh, for everything you do.

'Eventide'
Evan Charney
$250.00
Selected for Exhibition
Artist statement: For as long as I can remember I have been fascinated with printmaking. It’s a perverse art form, as much craft as art. It requires time and patience to acquire hand skill, like a musician who must first master the instrument before being able to make music. And unlike painting, the outcome in printmaking is indirect, the result uncertain until proved. But there is nothing as satisfying as “pulling” the print, the “Aha!” moment when you lift paper from press and the final result is revealed.
