Artist statement: Back in the Eighties, I spent my evenings playing music. Although I wasn't painting much at that time, I was always taking photos with a painting in mind. Using my old reference photo from my "box-o-camera" I was happy to once again spend time with a dear old friend!

Artist statement: While on a walk with friends, we entered a chapel just at that time of day that takes your breathe away. My challenge to myself was to see if I could recreate that warm soft glow of light coming thru the chapels stained glass windows.

Artist statement: "The Equity APW Paper Co. was an Albany N.Y. company that produced a "latched mechanism" toilet roll holder, one could simply push a button to release the roller and reload for action! Being an admirer of the fine craftmenship of past eras, I have a collection of rust. With the shortage of toliet paper a recent memory it inspired me to set up a still life with my vintage toliet paper holder.

Artist statement: I only just began painting during the winter of 2019 - never having done anything in the fine arts beyond sketching and drawing a tiny bit. I have been an educator and professional video content creator for many years and I wanted to spend some creative time away from computers and digital devices. Painting seemed like a natural step. I have really enjoyed working with pigment application to render images in the representational / traditional-realism format. I find the process fun and relaxing.
Specific medium: Acrylic paints on stretched canvas
