Artist statement: Melissa is an artist (BFA from MassArt) whose work has been internationally published and sold. Her work centers on portraiture and bringing peoples’ stories to life. She has been featured in Professional Artist Magazine and had a piece hanging in the Berkshire Museum of Art. She has done public arts pieces across Massachusetts including a mural for Electrify Amherst and two bears for Easthampton Bearfest. She teaches non-credit painting at Holyoke Community College.
