Artist statement: I love to take photographs near water during the brilliant display of the fall colors of New England. I was particulary drawn to this scene because of how the kayakers in the river blend in with the reflection of the leaves in the water, making them fully immersed in this moment of nature.

Artist statement: Fog is typically associated with rainy and damp weather which may discourage us from wanting to be outside. I had just the opposite feeling as I sat with my camera and watched the early morning fog lead into the awakening of the day.

Artist statement: I’ve come to realize that the very act of witnessing an object is really a profound spiritual gesture. Whether it is a blazing sunset, or a singular, fallen leaf resting on the snow, the creation process of the Universe does not seem to be entirely complete, until the object has been witnessed and acknowledged.

Artist statement: It was cold, no freezing. My hands were as pink as the weeping cherry blossoms that presented their beauty to me. A freak hail storm might have been worse for other bloomers, but these weeping cherries knew exactly why they were weeping. Patiently I waited with my macro lens, holding each breath as the wind picked up to get the most steady shot...and then DRIP! A self reflection of all my hard work to capture this amazing moment of sprint and winter.

Artist statement: My pastels and oils are inspired by the beauty of the New England landscape. I am intrigued by the light, color, space, and topographical variety in this part of the county and often combine cloud-filled skies with ponds or marshes. I strive to make a dynamic composition come to life in terms of light, color, texture, and luminosity.
